U-NEED-A-CAB is more than just a cab company…

When we first started answering our phones in 1992, we were an amalgamation of two existing North Bay cab companies: Ferris Taxi and Bay City Taxi. Al McDonald, the owner at the time, and all the U-NEED-A-CAB staff took great pride in growing the business year after year through superior customer service and a commitment to community involvement. In early 2006, John Strang took over ownership of the company and with his expertise in customer service, continued to improve the passenger experience with U-NEED-A-CAB

Today, U-NEED-A-CAB utilizes a state-of-the-art computerized dispatch system, wireless debit machines in every car, re-loadable gift cards and computerized account swipe cards. These advances ensure that we keep current in the industry and provide our customers with an unparalleled transportation experience. We aim to exceed our customer’s expectations every day and in order to achieve this goal we provide fast, friendly, courteous service. Our great sense of pride extends through our entire team. This is no real surprise because we know we are the best at what we do, and much more than just a cab company.
